We are investigating a report a 13-year-old girl was raped in Totton yesterday (Friday 14 March) sometime between 6.20pm and 8.30pm.
Since the report was made to us, officers have been conducting enquiries, with a scene in place at a park in Testwood Lane, where she was left, and we are working hard to identify and locate any CCTV which can assist our enquiries.
We have also been supporting the victim.

Breaking news: Teenage girl raped
A 13-year-old girl was raped in Totton yesterday, police have confirmed.
Police are investigating and have a crime scene in the park where she was left.
A resident of the nearby road, Stannington Crescent, for 20 years said: "I walked through the area earlier today and was shocked to see the police there and the police tape around the bridge.
"In all the time we’ve lived here I’ve never seen anything like this before."

The park is "very quiet", according to our reporter on the scene.
"The green space behind the war memorial is very quiet with only an officer walking around at the perimeter of the police cordon.
"The bridge in the middle of the park has been cordoned off by the police as has a large green area on the other side of the bridge.
"At the moment there are no dog walkers or other people in the area."
