A resident has called for more to be done after children have been seen climbing onto shop roofs and throwing eggs and stones at people below.
Youths were seen climbing up a lamppost to get onto the roof of Peacocks on Shirley Road, throwing objects at pedestrians walking on the pavement beneath them.
The shocking scenes have been noted twice in a week.
It's led to calls for more to be done to clamp down on the issue, including by their parents.
Founder of Shirley and Freemantle Watch Community Forum, Tony Weafer, said: “Why are the parents not taking action? We’ve seen the same thing happen twice in the space of a week in Shirley and it’s something that seems to be a reoccurring issue each summer.
“The police, council, and members of the community need to work together or there could be a risk of somebody getting seriously hurt.
“The fact it’s a reoccurring issue is sending the wrong messages.”

Shirley ward councillor and cabinet member for children and learning, Alexander Winning, told the Echo he’s “concerned about anti-social behaviour in and around the area”.
He said: “I’ve witnessed this myself but have also spoken to many residents on the doorstep who are rightly concerned.
“Of course, not all anti-social behaviour is carried out by young people, the majority isn’t, but I am aware of specific incidents of young people climbing onto roofs of shops, throwing stones and just generally causing issues.
“I fully sympathise with residents experiencing any level of ASB and urge anyone to keep reporting this to the police.”
In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We received reports on Tuesday (March 11) that a group of children had stolen eggs from the Tesco Express store on Shirley High Street. We also received reports at a similar time that eggs were thrown at the Convenience Express store on Shirley Road.
“Police have also been made aware of children throwing eggs from the roof of shops on Shirley High Street.
“Officers have been in communication with both stores and our enquiries into these incidents are ongoing.
“We regularly carry out patrols of Shirley High Street and the surrounding areas, both in uniform and plain clothes, as well as carrying out dedicated days of action targeting criminality and anti-social behaviour in the area.
“This work is ongoing and, as well as dedicated patrols and operations, we also continue to work closely with local businesses and other agencies on strong, longer-term solutions to the issues faced by retailers, shop staff and shoppers.”
