Southampton's only independently run Irish bar has taken a bumper delivery of Guinness ahead of St. Patrick's Day.
Staff at Shenanigans, in Carlton Place, are gearing up for Monday, an Irish religious and cultural holiday which has become an excuse for a knees up.
They have taken delivery of 50 kegs of Guinness to keep up with demand ahead of what they expect to be a very busy extended weekend.

Bar supervisor Paul Sheils, who hails from County Cork, said: "With St. Patrick’s day falling on a Monday, we’ve had to gear up for a very busy few days, it is looking very busy in terms of bookings.
"Demand for Guinness is unprecedented at the moment. Normally Shenanigans goes through 20 plus kegs a week so it should be enough. Fingers crossed!"
Shenanigans is run by Ged Gorrie, a Scotsman with Irish heritage, who spotted a gap in the market and launched the business in 2019.
