A busy road connected to Southampton high street will close for one night as utility covers are set to be replaced.
Above Bar Street will close between Civic Centre Road and Commercial Road on Thursday for one night between 8pm and 6am.
A traffic diversion route will be signed, and prior to the start of works, Southampton City Council noted in a letter sent to residents that the works area may be reserved using "no-waiting" cones.

Any vehicles parked in the coned area may be removed if they block access to works.
The letter notes that refuse collections will still be facilitated during the works and that residents close to the area may experience disturbances through flashing lights and reversing sirens.
Southampton City Council said in the letter: "We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience or disruption this work may cause."
