A rowan sapling from the Blenheim Estate has been planted near Fareham.
Pye Homes donated the sapling to the new Welborne Garden Village development, marking a "new chapter" for the company.
The tree, located near the entrance, is a symbol of the partnership between Pye Homes and the Buckland Group.
The development, which will consist of 6,000 houses, will set aside more than 50 per cent of the site for public green areas and wildlife habitats.

Roger File, director at Pye Homes, said: "We are incredibly proud to see this rowan sapling, grown on the historic Blenheim Estate, take root at Welborne.
"It represents not only our commitment to creating sustainable, thriving communities but also the strong partnership we’ve built with Buckland Group."
In return, Buckland Group gave Pye Homes an oak tree from the Southwick Estate.
