Lancashire Police has released a statement following the launch of an investigation into a social media video appearing to show a fight in Accrington.
On Monday (March 10), Hyndburn MP Sarah Smith reported the video, which she had been alerted to on Facebook.
The video is 80 seconds long and begins with two females on a cobbled surface, with one appearing to be pinned to the ground.
A third female then launches a kick at the individual restrained down.

(Image: Exposed) The victim being attacked in the videoThe individual is then stamped on, while covering her head in self-defence, before being violently dragged along the surface by her hair.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: "This has been reported to us and enquiries are ongoing.
"Anyone with information to assist those enquiries is asked to contact us on 101 quoting log 1157 of March 8."

"As soon as I saw it, I contacted the police, and an investigation is now underway.
"This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable, and those responsible must face the consequences of their actions.
"I hope the victim knows that the actions of bullies say everything about them and nothing about her.
"I hope she's recovering and knows there's a lot of decent people out there that care about her wellbeing."
