A New Forest farmer is cutting down food waste by using "wonky" fruits to create an innovative new snack.
Sandy Booth, owner of the New Forest Fruit Company, is using strawberries that would otherwise be thrown out due to being disfigured for his new pulse-dried fruit food.
The Strawberry Snacks are also inclusive for those with dietary requirements, as they are gluten-free, vegan-friendly, dairy-free, nut-free, and free from added sugar and preservatives.
Sandy said: "In a world where we are faced with the challenges of climate change and dietary preferences and health needs that are more diverse than ever, we have created a snack that ticks a number of environmental and health-related boxes."
The snacks are made from 100 per cent fruit with no hidden ingredients.
By growing, picking and packing the fruit directly on his New Forest Fruit farm in Hampshire, the team have also created a snack that reduces the farm's overall carbon footprint.
