Plans submitted to install a vehicle charging point in a popular retail park have been approved after previous applications were refused.
Instavolt lodged plans to bring one charger to Totton Retail Park, a move that planning officers said was encouraged by "both local and national policies".
The same applicant looked to bring six bays to the same car park when applying throughout 2024, though an appeal to the refused plans was rejected in September.

The inspector noted the charging stations, along with a substation and metering box, would be "visually intrusive," particularly due to their prominent positioning in the car park.
But the council has now granted permission for one new point to be installed, as similar applications have recently been submitted by the same company to bring chargers to McDonalds restaurants in Totton and Hedge End.
The Totton Retail Park boasts 135 car parking spaces and is home to a range of brands including Argos, Lidl and Jollyes.
