A KEEN photographer captured the moment a pony was chased by a dog let off its lead in the New Forest.
Hang Ross was out in Lyndhurst when her peace was abruptly disrupted by the sound of chaos.
Hang said: "I was busy taking photos on Boltons Bench, Lyndhurst of the content ponies happily grazing.
"All of a sudden our peace was disturbed by barking and a dog off its lead running towards and chasing the pony. The owner called but the dog ignored the calls and continued with harassing and chasing the pony.
"The pony, of course, kicked out whilst running but this didn’t deter the dog. Eventually having chased the pony around the cricket pavilion where there were more ponies the dog eventually returned to its owner."

Dog owners are urged to act responsibly to prevent distress to the animals and potential harm to their pets. Owners are urged to keep dogs on a lead in areas where ponies and other wildlife roam freely.
