Drivers are being warned as Shirley Road is set to be hit with two weeks of road works.
Engineers from SGN are set to begin work to replace 60 metres of old metal gas pipes on Shirley Road in Southampton.
To carry out the work safely, two-way traffic lights are to be set up on Shirley Road near the work area.
The Lisbon Road junction with Shirley Road will also be closed, meaning drivers will have no access in or out of Lisbon Road to Shirley Road.

The work will begin on Monday and is expected to last for a week.
Additional works are then set to be carried out, outside 74 Shirley Road, which will start after the first section is completed, taking another week to finish.
SGN engineers have assured the public that they will work "as quickly and as safely" as possible to minimise disruption.
