Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) campaigners are asking for support at the Labour Party South East Regional Conference this weekend.
This comes after the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions accepted that "maladministration" had occurred at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) but rejected the need for compensation.
The government claims that 90 per cent of WASPI women were aware of the state pension age changes, despite the DWP's failure to inform them.
On February 24, 2025, WASPI presented a legal case to the government, arguing that the reasons for not compensating 1950s-born women are unlawful.

A CrowdJustice campaign was launched to fund the legal action, reaching its £75,000 target on the first day.
WASPI group coordinators said: "The government has accepted that 1950s-born women are victims of maladministration, but it now says none of us suffered any injustice.
"We believe this is not only untrue but legally wrong."
The Labour Party South East Regional Conference takes place in Portsmouth on Saturday, March 1, and Sunday, March 2.
