Plans have been lodged to replace two disabled parking bays with rapid electric vehicle charger at a fast food restaurant in Totton.
An application has been made by InstaVolt to install two electric vehicle chargers in the car park at the McDonalds in Totton on Commercial Road.
Two of the restaurant's 35 spaces would be removed to make room for the chargers, though it would mean that only two designated disabled spaces would remain.

The application notes that the development would involve line painting, logo painted on the allocated spaces, cabling for connection to the National Grid and the installation of equipment.
While the disabled bays may be repositioned, this information is not disclosed in the plans.
The application was submitted on February 17 and has received one objection so far.
Thomas Safe said in objection: "Currently this would lead to the loss of two disabled parking facilities within the car park which will be of a detriment to disabled customers who wish to use the restaurant."
