It's the hidden gem of a creative studio and shop, presenting handmade creations by local crafters.

Everyone is welcome to unleash their inner artist at Paul Dumper Creations in Woolston, which is celebrating two years in business this month.

The creative centre hosts workshops, classes and exhibitions and has morphed into a studio for local artists who are given space to sell their handmade wares.

Tucked away behind the shops on the one way system by the car park, the shop is a treasure trove of craft goodies.

Repurposed items fashioned from sea glass, drift wood and shells found at Weston Shore are among the incredible work on display.

And intimate classes include everything from crochet to painting.

"In two years, the space has changed beyond recognition, but we're always open to suggestions from our community. People can get involved as much or as little as they want to and with a maximum of six people in each class, it's a much more personal experience.

"We've had so many friendships forged here. It's been far better than I ever could have hoped. I find it so pleasurable sharing different ideas, concepts and ways of doing things. It's a brilliant community.

"It's not been easy, you have to work at it like with any business. But the rewards are immense, I love meeting people, sharing ideas and creating things."

The pet Jack Russell discovered a painted stone decorated with the words 'you rock' on a lockdown walk along the nearby waterfront, a simple idea which spawned the creative studio

It attracted hundreds during a Hampshire Open Studio event last year and is gaining in popularity all the time, almost entirely by word of mouth or recommendation.
