There will also be games, including giant chess, connect 4 and Jenga on the grassed area, and Everyone Active will also be hosting a series of family friendly activities throughout the year.
Councillor Connie Hockey, Executive Member for Leisure and Community was also in attendance at today’s grand opening and said: “I can’t think of a better time than Valentine’s Day to launch our much-loved Pop Up Beach for this year.
“Just in time for the upcoming half term, special thanks go to Everyone Active for being this year’s headline sponsor, and to Mountjoy Ltd for the construction of this impressive installation inside Fareham Shopping Centre.
“Great fun has been had by all today, and I hope that many more will attend in the months to come.”
