The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:
RICHARD GIMSON, 34, of Ashton Gardens, Eastleigh, pleaded guilty to a charge of drink driving on Barnfield Way, Southampton, on September 1, 2024, when he was found with 47 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Gimson was handed a year long driving ban and a £692 fine. He must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £277 surcharge.
LUTHER JERRIM, 36, of North East Road, Southampton, admitted a charge of drink driving after he was caught with 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath in International Way, Southampton on September 1, 2024. He was handed a 36 month driving ban and ordered to pay a £700 fine. He must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £280 surcharge.
LOUISE MILLER, 46, of Eastlands, New Milton, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft after stealing £16.45 worth of groceries from One Stop in Lymington on August 18, 2024. She will next appear before the same court on May 21.
ALBERT BOWERS, 64, of Kanes Hill Caravan Site, Southampton, admitted a charge of theft after he stole a variety of items worth £38.90 from The Range in Southampton on October 19, 2024. He was fined £40 and must also pay prosecution costs of £30 and surcharge of £16.
DANIEL MUSTAFA, 37, of Portsmouth Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft after stealing clothes worth £269.50 from M&S in Westquay on November 21, 2024, jointly with Sabina Zamfir. He must pay a £300 fine and a £120 surcharge.
SABINA ZAMFIR, 42, of Portsmouth Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft after stealing clothes worth £269.50 from M&S in Westquay on November 21, 2024, jointly with Daniel Mustafa. She also admitted stealing clothes worth £257 from the same store on November 11, 2024. She must pay a £300 fine and a £120 surcharge.
