A WATER park based in Poole is set to reopen this month following maintenance issues, with some noticeable changes.
Splashdown in Tower Park closed in December 2024 for essential maintenance.
After closing for routine maintenance, Splashdown discovered an unexpected engineering issue that needed urgent repair.
Splashdown has announced it is set to reopen on February 14, just in time for Valentine's Day.
A spokesperson for Splashdown said: “Following a period of closure for routine maintenance an unexpected engineering problem was encountered, and, on advice of our landlords, Land Sec, we have been closed to allow for assessment and repair.
“We are pleased to say that some of the work has been done, but there is still work to be completed.
“We are delighted that we will be able to be open for half-term, but we will have some of our changing areas out of use and you will see evidence of where the work is happening in this area.
“We're sorry that the changing village won't be looking its best, but all the main areas and indoor slides are operating as normal.
“Unfortunately, it has not been possible to re-open Buccaneer Splash, our interactive splash area for younger children, which is above the area where the work is taking place, as a result, the child aged 4 + companion price has been reduced accordingly.”
