The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

CHERYL WEAVERS, 35, of Ridding Close, Southampton pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by finding after she stole a TV belonging to Ibis Hotel in West Quay Road on May 22, 2024. She was handed a prison sentence of two months, with magistrates telling the court she has “not engaged with probation” on a suspended sentence matter and committed further offences.

LOUISE MILLER, 46, of Eastlands, New Milton, admitted a charge of theft after she stole groceries worth £16.45 from One Stop in Lymington on August 18, 2024. She will appear at the same court on February 11.

BRIAN STUART, 50, of Lindoe Close, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft after stealing meat and toys from Tesco Express in Eastleigh on July 8, 2024. He was handed a two-month prison sentence suspended for 15 months. He must undertake a 15 month mental health treatment.

THOMAS HUTCHINSON, 18, of Manor Road, New Milton, pleaded guilty to drink driving after he was caught on East Hill on September 10, 2024, with 94 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was handed a driving ban of two years and one month and a £500 fine. He must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £200 surcharge.

GORDON WEBB, 57, of St Denys Road, Southampton admitted a charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress. He was ordered to pay a £150 fine and prosecution costs of £85.

PAWEL SZWED, 42, of Redhill Crescent, Southampton, admitted drink driving on Butterfield Road on December 8, 2024, with 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was banned from driving for 17 months and slapped with a £250 fine.
