Drivers are being warned as a busy cut-through often used by commuters heading to Southampton will be hit by road works.
Highway crews from Hampshire County Council will close Lee Lane in Romsey tonight, Tuesday, February 11.
The works are to last more than a week until Thursday, February 20, and crews will be undertaking crack sealing on the busy road from Upton Lane to Southampton Road.
The road, a country lane narrow in places, is often used by commuters between Romsey and Southampton avoiding traffic on the A3057 and M271.

In order to minimise impact on drivers, this work has been confined to evenings and nights only, between the hours of 6pm and 7.30am.
Drivers who regularly travel up Lee Lane are being asked to find an alternative route and allow additional journey time to account for the delay.
A diversion route has been set up which takes drivers from Upton Lane, onto Romsey Road and then turning onto Southampton Road.
