The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:
CAMERON MARKHAM, 25, of Old Farm Drive, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a drug driving charge after he was found with ketamine in his blood while driving on Kingsclere Avenue on May 20, 2024. He also pleaded guilty to driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a vehicle without third party insurance in Southampton on May 20, 2024. He was banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay a £500 fine, he must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £90 surcharge.
ROBERT CHAPPELL, 37, of Hinkler Road, Southampton, admitted drug driving after he was found with Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol – a cannabinoid found in cannabis – in his blood while driving on the M27 westbound on June 9, 2024. He was banned from driving for a year and must pay an £80 fine, £45 prosecution costs, and a £32 surcharge.
JAMES CAMPBELL, 30, of Forton Road, Gosport, pleaded guilty to a drug driving charge after he was caught with Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood while driving in Calmore on June 12, 2024. He was banned from driving for a year and must pay a £225 fine. He must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £90 surcharge.
KIERON TATE-PINCKNEY, 18, of Dean Road, Southampton, admitted a charge of theft after stealing vodka worth £14.25 from Tesco in Eastleigh on July 11, 2024, and a charge of assault for the same day. He must pay £50 compensation to the victim and a £26 surcharge.
CHARLES PELLESCHI, 34, of Somerset Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to a drug driving charge after he was found with Benzoylecognine in his blood while driving a BMW on the M27 near Rownhams on March 24, 2024. He was banned from driving for three years and must pay prosecution costs of £85. He is also subject to a year-long community order and must complete 80 hours of unpaid work.
