A driver with a "lack of respect" was caught doing donuts on a grassy area.

Police say a vehicle was witnessed driving across the grass and footpaths between The Acorns and Woodland View at about 11.30am on Friday, February 7.

The vehicle also destroyed a litter bin and knocked over one of the newly planted trees.

A spokesperson for Hedge End Police said: "The driver of this vehicle has shown a complete lack of respect for the community.

"What was going through this drivers mind to do this? I’d really like to ask them.

"So I turn to the community of Bursledon for help. Did you see this vehicle, do you have CCTV or doorbell camera footage of the vehicle committing its act of vandalism."

Officers added: "We have spoken to some residents already and have images of the vehicle but we want more video, more images and information to give to the court.

"If the driver is seeing this post then I would urge them to come forward and speak to me. You can show some remorse by coming forward. If not, then wait for my knock on the door."
