AN inquest has opened into the death of a Calmore man who was found in his home.
Glen Harvey Dawson, 62, of Salisbury Road, died on May 13 last year, a court heard.
An inquest into his death was opened by senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson at Winchester Coroners' Court on Tuesday, February 4.
According to Mr Wilkinson, Mr Dawson was found on the floor of his bedroom with blood all over the bed.

An ambulance was called, but there were no life-saving opportunities. Police were also called due to the presence of blood.
Blood was found on the back of Mr Dawson's head, as well as tissues covered in his blood. Empty alcohol bottles and cigarettes were also found at the scene.
The preliminary cause of death has been given as traumatic laceration of the scalp with soft tissue haemorrhage, as well as alcohol misuse disorder with alcohol-related cirrhotic liver disease.
The full inquest has been adjourned to January 6, 2026, to take place at Winchester Coroners' Court.
