AN inquest has opened into the death of a Southampton man who was rushed to hospital after collapsing in the street.
Artur Furmanek, 46, of Rose Road, died at Southampton General Hospital on November 13, a court heard.
The inquest into Mr Furmanek's death was opened at Winchester Coroners' Court on Tuesday, February 4 by senior coroner Christopher Wilkinson.
Mr Wilkinson said that Mr Furmanek was seen walking down Lodge Road, Southampton, when he collapsed.

On route to the hospital, Mr Furmanek suffered two cardiac arrests. After several hours in hospital, the decision was made to stop further resuscitation.
The preliminary cause of death has been given as acute alcohol intoxication and alcohol-related fatty liver disease.
Mr Wilkinson adjourned Mr Furmanek's inquest to January 5 next year, to take place in full at Winchester Coroners' Court.
