The military helicopter is a multi-use tiltrotor military transport and cargo aircraft – that has both vertical take-off and landing capabilities – and is used primarily to transport combat troops.
First manufactured in 1988, the V-22 is operated by both the United States and Japan.
The Osprey is the world’s first production tiltrotor aircraft, meaning it generates lift and propulsion from its rotating shafts on the end of each wing.
