AFC Totton have pledged their support for a former player who suffered life-changing injuries after being hit by a car while trying to fix a flat tyre on the M27 on the way back home to Southampton from a match.
Jordan Chiedozie, who plays for New Milton’s Bashley FC, is in hospital in an induced coma after a car crashed into him on the hard shoulder late on Saturday, February 1.
He was returning from Bashley's Southern League match at Tavistock with club physio Reighan Taylor.

An AFC Totton statement said: "We are devastated to learn of the terrible injuries sustained by Jordan Chiedozie, a former AFC Totton player, as a result of a traffic accident on his journey home from a football match.
"Jordan was a popular member of the squad during his short time with us, and now in light of these tragic events all of our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, friends and colleagues.
"We will endeavour to do all that we can - both as a club and as members of the wider footballing and New Forest communities - to engage in and bolster any efforts that we can all make to support Jordan and Bashley Football Club in their time of need."
Jordan was taken to hospital suffering multiple broken bones and other physical injuries. At this time, he remains in a controlled coma.
Jordan, son of former Tottenham, Leyton Orient and Notts County winger John, played for Bournemouth youth teams for many years, as well as Sholing, Poole Town and a number of other non league clubs.
He made 17 appearances during his 2023 spell at AFC Totton, scoring one goal.
Bashley said Jordan's teammates were 'in bits' and asked for tomorrow (Tuesday's) match to be postponed).
A 44-year-old woman from Wraysbury in Windsor and Maidenhead has been arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The crash happened at around 10.30pm on the eastbound carriageway, between junctions two (Ower) and three (Rownhams).
