A Southampton wedding venue could soon be equipped with a restaurant run by the son of a Michelin-starred chef.
The city council has received an application to provide fine dining at The Bugle, a waterfront building that already boasts seven hotel rooms.
The proposal has been submitted by The Wonder House Group and top chef Daniel Rogan, who was trained by Gordon Ramsey.
In 2022 a Lake District restaurant run by his father Simon became the first eatery in the north of England to be awarded a third Michelin star.

If the application to upgrade The Bugle is approved, dining facilities will be opened in the basement - and on the ground and first floors.
Outdoor seating will be available in the garden and on the building's balcony.

A design and access statement that accompanies the application says the proposed development will provide a much needed restaurant in a highly accessible area of the city.
It adds: "Externally the listed building will remain as it is in order to preserve the character of the conservation area, with only minor internal alterations that will serve as an enhancement to the building."

A covering letter adds: "The Bugle is already converted into a wedding venue plus seven hotel rooms.
"The business now requires adding restaurant use to the basement, ground and first floor with dining areas also available outside at ground and first floor level.
"No internal alterations are required or changes to the agreed capacity."
The letter describes Daniel as Chef-Patron at Restaurant AO at Sunnyfields Farm in Marchwood, the talented son of a Michelin-starred chef, and the winner of a prestigious industry award.
"He has worked at L’Enclume with his father and with Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley and for Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea.
"Restaurant AO offers an ever-evolving signature ten course tasting menu using locally sourced and sustainable ingredients, plus a superb wine pairing menu.
"Bringing this kind of talent to The Bugle will surely make it a successful fine dining experience."

The Italian-style building is next door to the Dancing Man Brewery at the junction of Bugle Street and Town Quay.
Opened on August 8 1846, it was originally the home of the Royal Southern Yacht Club, having been designed by local architect Thomas Sandon Hack and funded by a vice-commodore of the club. At one stage, it was used as offices by Southampton University Air Squadron.
The Grade II-listed building stood empty for several years before being transformed into a wedding and events venue.
