A new report exploring ways to decarbonise the Solent region is set to be launched.
The Solent Cluster will unveil its Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plan (LIDP) Transitioning Pathways report on February 11 at St Mary's Stadium.
The report, funded by a successful bid to the Government's Local Industrial Decarbonisation Plan competition, is the result of more than a year's collaboration between industry and academia.
It highlights key barriers and opportunities, models business actions, and examines public perceptions surrounding industrial decarbonisation.
Stuart Baker, executive director of The Solent Cluster, said: "The LIDP Transitioning Pathways report is a crucial step examining how a lower carbon industrial future for the Solent region might be achieved.
"It reflects a year of dedicated collaboration between industry and academia, identifying practical solutions and key challenges that must be overcome."
The event will bring together local, national, and international bodies to discuss findings and explore next steps in delivering real change.
