Delays have reached to just five minutes now between Junctions 5 and 4 as traffic starts to return to normal.
Queues have eased in places and now the only stretch of eastbound road affected is between Junctions 5 and 4.
AA Traffic Maps reports 'severe delays of 14 minutes and delays easing,' with an average speed of 15mph.
Westbound traffic is unaffected by the delays.
Google Maps shows that the part of the M27 worst affected by eastbound delays is between Junction 5 and 4.
