An operation targeting speeding drivers in the New Forest has begun.
New Forest Police, along with Forestry England, New Forest National Park, and the New Forest Roads Awareness Team, aim to reduce speed and animal deaths through education and enforcement.
The operation was held at Crockford Clump and Hawkhill Inclosure, sites of recent animal accidents.
Three drivers were caught speeding at 50mph, 51mph, and 61mph on roads with 40mph limits.
Other drivers were given advice by partners on the unique nature of the forest roads and the need for extra care.
A spokesperson for New Forest Police said: "Thanks as always to the vast majority of drivers who stuck to the limit and drove according to the conditions – we appreciate it."
