Beaulieu is inviting visitors to step through time this February as the attraction introduces historical hands-on activities.
From February 15 to 23, guests can engage with living history characters and participate in hands-on activities, collecting character cards as mementoes of their encounters.
The day begins at the National Motor Museum, where visitors can meet a mechanic in Jack Tucker’s 1930s garage.
Tasks from the mechanic will earn visitors a character card, adding to the immersive experience.
The museum houses various exhibitions, including the 'Streets Ahead' display, which showcases items from the 1950s to the 1970s.
Starting February 2, the museum will also feature the new exhibition, Racing Pride, which celebrates the LGBTQ community in motorsport.
Outside the museum, visitors can board a replica 1912 open-topped London bus for a ride to Palace House.
Before the journey, passengers can chat with the bus driver to learn about his role.
The grand Victorian Palace House, the ancestral home of the Montagu family, is filled with memorabilia and portraits.
Costumed staff members provide insights into the home's rich history.
In the Victorian kitchen, the Montagu family cook can be questioned about the day's menu, while upstairs, Lord Montagu’s valet can offer a glimpse into the life of house guests.
Next to Palace House, the Secret Army Exhibition reveals Beaulieu’s history as a covert training ground for World War Two agents.
Visitors can practice Morse Code and other secret communication techniques.
In Beaulieu Abbey, perfectly preserved ruins tell the story of medieval Cistercian monks.
Visitors can collect a character card by trying their hand at stone masonry.
The Little Beaulieu adventure play area provides a space for children to unwind.
The play area includes a wooden replica of Palace House, complete with slides, a climbing wall, and a zip wire.
During a visit, guests can enjoy unlimited rides on the Beaulieu monorail.
Visitors can now take advantage of a two-for-one offer, allowing them to return for free up to six days after their initial visit.
Beaulieu is set to be a delightful outing this February half-term.
