Lauren Payne has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while the alcohol concentration was above the prescribed limit, and driving while unfit through drink.
The charges relate to an incident at Popham Services, on the A303, on January 17, when the 26-year-old was on duty.
The Andover-based police officer has been suspended by Hampshire Constabulary while criminal proceedings are ongoing, it was revealed in a short statement released by the force on Monday morning.
