A marketing agency has supported a Barnardo's shop by gathering clothing donations.
CMe Media in Lee-on-Solent, also home to CMe Automotive, responded to a plea from Joe Younger, manager of Barnardo’s Stubbington, on Facebook in early January about a high demand for ladies' clothing.
The Fareham Innovation Centre, where CMe Media is located, was used as a collection point, prompting a post-Christmas wardrobe clear-out by the team.
Other businesses in the Innovation Centre were also encouraged to help out. The response within a week was described as "inspiring."
Four members of the CMe Media team personally took the donations to Barnardo’s, where they were welcomed by the shop's manager and volunteers.
Sarah Carter, account manager at CMe Media, said: "Our staff were incredibly quick to respond to the appeal. They loved the idea of supporting a great cause while also getting the chance to declutter their wardrobes after Christmas!"
This is not the first time the team has helped out. In December, they supported local charity shops through their Secret Santa tradition, where all gifts had to be bought from local charity shops.
CMe Media is planning to keep up their charitable efforts in 2025, looking for new ways to support local causes and make a positive difference.
