A teenager charged with murdering a man a few days before Christmas has been released and the charge dropped, say police.
Jack Connor Hibbered, 18, of no fixed address, had been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Tawana Choruma on December 18.
Police have confirmed the case against him has been discontinued and no further action will be taken.
Officers were called just before 6.30pm on Wednesday, December 18, to reports of a man with a stab wound.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services and members of the public, Tawana was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
An 18-year-old man from Southampton has today been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the ongoing investigation.
He remains in police custody at this time.
Dominic Adedamole Adeyemi, 18, of Holmes Close in Netley Abbey was charged with murder alongside Hibberd.
He remains in custody ahead of a trial due to start at Southampton Crown Court on June 2.
