AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a man who died in hospital.
Gerald Vinall, 75, of Holly Road, Ashurst, died at Southampton General Hospital on October 20, an inquest heard.
The inquest into his death was opened at Winchester Coroners' Court on Wednesday, January 15 by area coroner Jason Pegg.

Mr Pegg said that Mr Vinall had a history of metastatic lung cancer.
The preliminary cause of death has been given as acute bronchopneumonia, caused by asbestosis and tobacco smoking.
The inquest has been adjourned until July 2, 2025, to be heard in Winchester.
