A CCTV image has been released by police investigating after a fraudulent barcode was used to significantly reduce the price of items at a Co-op store.
Five items were purchased at the store, in Winchester Road, Chandler's Ford, between 1.45pm and 1.55pm on December 18 for £1.65, when their retail value was £28.58.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.
“You can do this by calling 101, or by reporting online via the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary website, quoting incident number 44240550911.
“You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
