A special ceremony marked the 85th anniversary of HMS Collingwood's commissioning.
The anniversary was celebrated on January 10 with a cake-cutting ceremony led by the commanding officer, captain Tim Davey, and 16-year-old sailor, AB Rosie Coman, the youngest sailor present.
Addressing those gathered Captain Davey said: "Today marks a special birthday in HMS Collingwood’s history, as we celebrate 85 years of the establishment delivering first class training in support of front line operations.
He added: "This a truly memorable occasion."
The event was further enlivened by The Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines, Collingwood, who played 'Happy Birthday,' and the participation of phase two sailors from Victory Squadron.
Attendees were given pieces of commemorative cake, marking the occasion.
