Temperatures in Southampton remain near-zero after the New Forest was covered in snow yesterday, as the Met Office predicts that the current cold snap will continue until early next week.
While the sun is out today, (January 9), it is the last time residents in the city can expect to see it for a couple of days - it is forecast that the city will continue to be coated in ice into the weekend.
The weather experts think a cloudy weekend awaits, but despite temperatures remaining low, there is no room for snow in the forecast for the next few days.
A high of 3C is expected tomorrow, with the sky being cloudy throughout, and commuters will be in for a surprise as temperatures will 'feel like' -3C at 9am tomorrow.
