City of Southampton Swimming Club is starting the new year as a premier league outfit.
For the first time in 11 years, the team have got themselves promoted to the premier league of the National Arena League South.
The swimmers, aged ten years old and upwards, impressed in a series of meets towards the end of 2024, racking up the highest points total of any club.

Head coach Matt Heathcock told the Daily Echo: "I couldn’t be prouder of the team. The team spirit has been amazing and the will to want to win has been great to see.
"Becoming the head coach in August 2022, one of the targets within five years was to achieve premier league status. So achieving this is credit to the athletes and my coaching team.
"It was great to see the club on such a high and watching the swimmers build a great team spirit."
