Another year brings another great set of musicians and festivals to Southampton, with some big names set to perform in 2025.
A star-studded line-up includes the likes of Primal Scream and Boomtown Rats plus some major festivals returning later in the year.
Here are some of the big gigs and festivals that are set to take place in Southampton in 2025.

Primal Scream
Primal Scream will be heading to the O2 Guildhall on Tuesday, April 1 as they head out on tour for their 12th studio album 'Come Ahead'.
The O2 Guildhall website adds: "The tour marks Primal Scream’s anticipated live return after 2022’s "Screamadelica Live" and several rapturously received headline summer shows in 2023."
Wanderlust Festival
Taking place on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 the multi-venue Wanderlust Festival will see a huge number of bands come to Southampton.
Groups confirmed include English Teacher, Automation, She’s in Parties, Basht, Human Interest and Lugnut.
Southampton Fake Festival
Mayflower Park will host the Southampton Fake Festival on Saturday, May 17 which will have a whole host of tribute bands performing.
These will include the likes of Queen, Killers, Green Day, David Bowie, Blondie and P!nk.
Its website adds: "Let’s join together this May in Mayflower Park for an electrifying homage and day-long celebration of the finest in rock ‘n’ roll.
"It’s time to let loose, bring out our inner rock stars and bask in the buzz, as we scream along to “We Will Rock You”, “Mr. Brightside” and the punk passions of Green Day."

Southampton Summer Sessions
Taking place over several nights in June, Southampton Summer Sessions will see a host of big names in the music world perform in Guildhall Square.
Rag'n'Bone Man, The Stranglers, McFly, The Human League and Simple Minds will be among them.
It will start on Friday, June 13 with Rag'n'Bone Man and conclude on Sunday, June 29 with Simple Minds.
The Drifters
The Drifters will be making an appearance at the Mayflower Theatre on Sunday, June 29 performing classic hits from the last six decades.
Formed in 1953 the band has gone through many alterations in members and is known for songs such as 'Saturday Night at the Movies', 'You’re More Than A Number' and 'Come on Over to My Place'.
Mela Festival
Taking place on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 12 in Hoglands Park the Mela Festival is expected to attract tens of thousands of people.
According to its website, attendees can "enjoy a fusion of music, dance and family activities, all of an international flavour from world-class artists".
Entry is free, as are most of the family-focused activities, with workshops being run and delicious food available from a huge range of stalls.

Boomtown Rats
Boomtown Rats will be appearing at the O2 Guildhall on Saturday, November 1 for their 50th anniversary tour.
The Irish rock/new wave band was originally formed in 1975 and is known for songs such as 'Rat Trap', 'Like Clockwork' and 'Banana Republic'.
