If you were left with no water following the outage which hit thousands of homes across Southampton, the New Forest, Romsey and Eastleigh just before Christmas, you're entitled to compensation.
Southern Water came under fire after a shut down following water quality problems at its Testwood site in Totton disrupted water supply to around 58,000 homes.
The issue took some time to fix and resulted in chaos around bottled water stations set up in Eastleigh, Lordshill, Totton and Marchwood.

Now, customers affected by the loss of water will receive a letter or email about compensation.
A spokesperson for Southern Water told the Daily Echo: "Customers have no need to apply for compensation for the water outage that impacted communities in Hampshire recently.
"We will compensate our customers’ accounts automatically by 21 January 2025.
"We are emailing and writing to our customers this week and next, confirming the amount each customer will receive.
"We will apply compensation at the new increased rates proposed by the Government, that is being brought before Parliament this year."
