A new tearoom is opening its doors in Wickham.
Woodies of Wickham, which is advertising itself as a tearoom, bistro and bar, will be opening in The Square.
The new business is currently looking for staff, with a banner outside the pub saying that anyone interested in applying should get in touch via social media.
Woodies will be taking over the site which was previously Greens, a restaurant which closed last August.
The establishment had been run by Frank and Carol Duckworth for almost 40 years, with the pair deciding to close up shop to enjoy retirement.
In a post on their website, Frank and Carol said: “On Sunday, August 11, 2024, we served our last ever Sunday lunches, after 39 and a half years, we have finally retired.
“Thank you to all our wonderful customers and all their good wishes for the future. We shall miss you all, but cherish the wonderful memories you helped us create.”
Woodies has been contacted for further information.
