Areas around Southampton could be set for snow next week, according to forecasters, as temperatures are again set to plummet.
Apple’s weather forecast shows that areas such as Hedge End and Eastleigh have an 80 per cent chance of snow on Wednesday, January 8.
The weather forecast for Southampton city centre currently shows that rain is more likely – but with Hedge End and Eastleigh currently forecast for snow, the city might still get to see some snow flakes.

Southampton avoided snowfall on Saturday but parts of the north of Hampshire were hit.
Southampton also saw a thin dusting of snow at the start of December.
The Apple weather notice reads: “Wednesday's low will be -2 degrees at 02:00, and the high will be 3 degrees between 14:00 and 15:00.
“The temperature range will feel like -5 degrees to 0 degrees - wind will make it feel colder than the actual temperature.”
