Southampton City Council has confirmed that glass will not be collected in the latest bin rounds as they aim to finish catching up on collections missed during the festive period this weekend.
Suspended collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day mean that the council had to catch up on a total of 100,000 bins.
The authority has now confirmed that glass collections that were suspended on these dates will not be included in catch-up rounds.

It has asked residents to store their boxes elsewhere until the next scheduled collection, or to utilise local bottle banks nearby.
In their statement on a weekly newsletter, Southampton City Council said: "We thank you for your patience as our crews work to catch up on over 100,000 bins following the holidays.
"Giving our waste collection crews some well-deserved time off has its challenges, but we expect normal service to be back on track as soon as possible.
"Waste and recycling collections which were normally due on Christmas Day and Boxing Day were fully suspended.
"Residents affected by the suspensions were asked to put their general waste bins out on Friday 27 December 2024 and advised to leave their bin out until it was collected with the service aiming to catch up throughout this week and weekend.
"Waste and recycling collections which were normally due on New Year’s Day were fully suspended. Residents affected by the suspensions were asked to put their general waste bins out from Thursday 2 January 2025 and advised to leave the bin out until it is collected.
"If you're a garden waste subscriber, we can take your real Christmas tree away. If it’s 6ft or under, you can simply pop it out with your next garden waste collection. If it’s bigger, we ask that you chop it into pieces with all decorations removed."

The council reminded residents that they can still report a missed bin online to help record and monitor outstanding collections.
They also said that the Household Waste and Recycling Centre is open 9am to 4pm and that rubbish can be taken there.
Slots need to be booked online, but this can be done for free.
