A care home staged a pantomime of Cinderella, delighting residents, staff, and loved ones.

The show at Shawford Springs Care Home in Otterbourne was performed by residents and colleagues after weeks of rehearsals.

The audience enjoyed the pantomime, along with mulled wine and mince pies.

The room was filled with laughter and cheers, with the show described as a "huge success."

Nick, resident ambassador said: "Being part of this panto was great fun. There were so many witty jokes and innuendos but we all managed to deliver our lines like professionals. There were nerves in the build up but we just enjoyed every second."

General manager, Cassie Munnoch, said: "Our residents and staff had a wonderful time at the show- truly brilliant! We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Shawford Springs as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one of our favourites!"

The care home, run by Barchester Healthcare, offers residential and dementia care for up to 60 residents, ranging from short breaks to long-term stays.
