Southampton Christmas Market will close this weekend following the conclusion of the Christmas and New Year period.
The popular Christmas market – which features an array of bars, clothing stalls, and even a Ferris wheel – will end its six-week run in the city centre on Sunday, January 5, having opened on Friday, November 15 on Above Bar Street.
The launch coincided with the city’s Christmas light switch on event which saw hundreds of people gather to watch Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas sing a selection of Christmas tunes.

With the exception of Christmas Day, the festive market has been open until 10pm from Monday to Saturday, closing at 7pm on Sundays.
