Temperatures in Southampton are set to plunge into the negatives today after the city was battered with heavy rain and strong winds yesterday.
Commuters heading back into work after the festive period will be shocked by the cold as it will 'feel like' -1C in the morning, the Met Office says.
The weather experts also predict that the city will see -1C heading into the night, after being a comfortable 11C throughout the day yesterday.
By 9pm, Met Office says that it will 'feel like' -4C.
Yesterday's rain and wind has passed and the sun will be out throughout the afternoon until it sets at 4.12pm.
The Met Office's yellow weather warning for wind in Southampton was lifted yesterday at 3pm.
