A man has been charged with burglary after a restaurant was allegedly "ransacked" on Southampton High Street yesterday.
Police were called at 9am after discovering a man had smashed the front door of Indian restaurant Kesarum.
The call said that he was allegedly causing damage inside the premises.
Police attended and the man is said to have run out of the building and climbed several floors of Eastgate Street multi-storey car park.
A near three-hour stand-off followed as South Central Ambulance Service and Hampshire Fire teams joined police at the scene.

The neighbouring road Back of the Walls was partially cordoned off as the man and firefighters carrying a ladder, went back and forth along the length of the building.
Anthony Gormley, 30, of Walpole Gardens in Chiswick, London, has now been charged with burglary.
He appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court today - December 31 - where he was remanded into custody.
He is next due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 21.
