New Year's Day was ushered in seven hours early in Fareham as children celebrated the end of the year throughout the afternoon.

Over 350 people were in attendance as children's entertainer Silly Scott hosted a party at the Wickham Centre between 3pm and 5pm for families with children.

The afternoon of fun featured an interactive magic show and a UV 'versus' disco pitting music from the 1990s against tunes from the 2000s.

The event was topped off with a New Year's Eve countdown, giving youngsters a chance to see in 2025, even if they are tucked up asleep at midnight.

Host Silly Scott has been a full time children's entertainer in Portsmouth since 1994, often performing magic shows as 'Scooter the Clown' and magicking a real rabbit out of a hat at the end of his shows.

The party was held at the Wickham Centre on Mill Lane, a 10 minute drive away from Fareham.
