A HAMPSHIRE kebab van has reached the semi-finals of a prestigious national competition.
The Boss kebab van, won the Best Kebab Van title at the British Kebab Awards last year, and has now progressed to the penultimate round of the 13th edition of the top award again.
Speaking last year, owner Siyam Er, 41, from Park Gate, said he was "really delighted and happy" that his business, which trades on Winchester Road in Shedfield was recognised.
He said: "We have got the certificate on the front of the van to let everyone know. The staff have been asking if we could close today to celebrate but we have to work and serve our wonderful customers."
A spokesperson for the British Kebab Awards said of this year's awards: "As the festive season winds down and we look ahead to a new year, the British Kebab Awards brings more reasons to celebrate.
"The 13th edition of this prestigious event is proud to unveil the highly anticipated shortlist, honouring the culinary innovators and community champions who have redefined the kebab experience in 2025."

It’s an honour to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of these establishments that have impressed our discerning panel of judges."
The final awards ceremony will be held on February 26, at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel, London.
The event promises an evening of glamour, entertainment and, of course, mouth-watering kebabs.
Renowned figures from the culinary world, influencers, and dignitaries will gather to celebrate the winners across various categories, including Best Kebab House, Best Newcomer, and Outstanding Contribution to the Kebab Industry.
