Adults in Hampshire are being urged to take advantage of free exercise and weight loss programmes.
Starting in January, the 12-week programmes are funded by Hampshire County Council and aim to help residents improve their health in the new year.
The offer is open to all postcodes except those in Southampton and Portsmouth, for people over 18 with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27.5 for those from a BAME background.
There are four main options in the programme, which include a digital weight loss programme and a supported weight loss programme.
The digital programme features 12 weeks of interactive videos, while the supported programme includes the same content, but with the addition of a mentor providing guidance, encouragement, and personalised advice.
One Hampshire resident to have already benefited from the programme is 57-year-old Joanne, who lost 1.5 stones (9.7kg) on the 12-week programme.
Joanne said: "The weekly videos were excellent as was the telephone support. I am now working out daily. It has become a good habit, the first thing I think about when I wake up, and I am more mindful about what I eat, the size of my portions and I can easily say no to sweet treats that appear in the office.
"I don't deny myself a piece of chocolate now and then, though. You can really enjoy the positive changes you make."
Both programmes also provide access to the Gloji Online Gym, featuring classes such as Pilates, HIIT, and Tai Chi.
Other resources include a library of online articles and recipes, and a private Facebook community for members to share tips and connect.
Gloji, a digital platform, provides holistic support and information on behaviour change, nutrition, sleep, and stress management.
Participants can also log their weight weekly through the platform.
For those keen on physical activity, the programme offers an exercise support pathway with limited spaces in group activity programmes, such as netball.
Gloji Hampshire also partners with Slimming World to help residents lose weight, offering personalised support, a variety of recipes, and exercise videos.
