A charity walk is set to take place to raise funds for a hospice.

On Saturday, May 17, the Oakhaven Walk will offer three routes along the scenic Dorset and Hampshire coast.

From January 1 to January 31, early bird registration prices are available.

The fee includes a technical T-shirt, refreshments, and lunch for those completing the 26-mile trek.

Laura Eastwood, Oakhaven’s director of fundraising, said: "In 2024, we were delighted to welcome over 480 people on our popular coastal walk, which raised a fabulous £110,000 for the charity. This year, we hope to welcome even more participants.

"The registration fee covers the costs of the event, and therefore, every penny raised in sponsorship will help to make a difference to local people with a life-limiting illness and their families - supporting our communities from diagnosis to bereavement."

Participants are encouraged to raise at least £150 in sponsorship.

All proceeds support Oakhaven Hospice's free palliative care services.
